We all, at different points in our lives, suffer from anxiety, depression or discouragement. The authors of the Psalms have experienced such problems, and more besides, and have written songs to God to tell of their anguish and God’s provisions for overcoming our troubles.
- Does God Know How you Feel?
38:9 O Lord, all my longing is known to you: my sighing is not hidden from you.56:8 You have kept count of my tossings: put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your record?
- Ask God to intervene, he wants you to.
50:15 Call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will glorify me.
55:22 Cast your burden on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.
